Ramesh Venkat
CeQuotia Consulting was founded by Ramesh Venkat, who has several years of consulting and coaching experience. He previously ran an Internet Consulting firm called W3Strategy. He is the author of a leading book on Internet Marketing (McGraw-Hill Ryerson) and has published extensively on customer satisfaction and customer experience. He is currently writing a book on brand engagement, which draws on his research and consulting experience (Springer). His consulting experience spans several industries including public sector, software, electronics, consumer services and retail. Ramesh is a thought leader in customer experience. Ramesh provides strategic direction for CeQuotia and leads the customer experience and branding services.
Ramesh is an Associate Professor in the Sobey School of Business, one of the top-ranked business schools in Canada. Ramesh has an MBA degree from Simon Fraser University and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of British Columbia. Ramesh has business experience in two leading emerging markets – Brazil and India. Ramesh lives in Halifax with his wife and daughter.
Melanie Taljaard
Melanie Taljaard has more than 12 years experience developing effective marketing and communication solutions for leading brands. Melanie is a marketer at heart; she is also a coach, a strategist and a teacher. Previously Melanie was the National Advertising and Promotions Director for Maritime Travel, one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies, where she created marketing solutions for 80 locations nationwide. Prior to that, Melanie worked for Cossette, a leading marketing communications company.
Melanie has significant experience and expertise in the areas of customer experience, branding and marketing communications. Melanie is the founder of More in Store, a consulting company specializing in customer acquisition and engagement strategies. At CeQuotia, Melanie contributes to the brand strategy practice as well as corporate training.
Melanie has an undergraduate degree from Mount Saint Vincent University in Public Relations and Marketing. She graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a Masters in Business Administration.
Melanie grew up in Halifax, has lived and worked in France, England, the USA. Today Melanie still resides in Halifax with her husband and two children.
Manjula Gurram
Manjula Gurram has over 10 years of experience in customer experience from an operations as well as a marketing perspective. She worked for Taj Hotels, a leading 5-star hotel chain in South Asia with growing global footprint. At Taj she implemented the equivalent of Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence. Her work experience includes a stint at Cobham, a leading industrial electronics company. Recently, she was a crucial part of the quality and continuous improvement efforts at Medavie Bluecross. Manjula’s expertise is in bringing quality management and Six Sigma concepts to creating and delivering superior customer experience. She heads CeQuotia’s customer experience practice.
